The kwhg owned Pinewood cabin at the Smithy Community Hub, has been home the last two summer’s to the “iGallery” a Visitor information point and showcase for local artists and crafts makers. As with everything on site, it is a development work in progress. There has been demand locally for some smaller business rental spaces for office/ retail or workshop use. It was decided to create a partition in the Pinewood cabin as there was a lot of unused space in there. The joiners have been working long hours this last week to try and minimise disruption and days that the iGallery would need to be closed. Everyone’s craft items and produce were covered up or removed, and it was just a matter of waiting for the plaster and paint to dry before Opening again!
One Office is let. the other space is currently available for rental. Contact us for further information at email@example.com.
The Gallery is looking good now it is set up again, Many thanks to everyone who helped, and to the patience of the exhibitors waiting for the paint to dry (literally!). We will still be able to use the building for training events throughout the winter months, and now the smaller rental spaces will generate an all year revenue which goes towards the purchase and management of community assets like the proposed purchase of Kirkton Woodland.
