Our next meeting will be on a Saturday, 20th January, to appeal to anyone who hasn’t been able to make our usual weekday sessions. This will be a chance to get to grips with some of the jobs we have been doing. We will be removing more gorse from the edge of the road up to Cnoc na Staing. This is surprisingly rewarding as the transformation is immediate and the work needn’t be heavy going. We meet at 10am at the Wee camp site above Croft Road and work till 1pm, with a good tea break sometime in the middle. Anyone coming along is advised to have wellies or boots, warm and waterproof clothing and garden/work gloves. If you have secateurs, loppers, a bow saw, mattock or spade, bring them along, they will be very useful. Don’t worry if there is snow lying or falling, this is good winter work. If this date is not convenient but weekend days appeal to you, get in touch anyway.
